About Chris Kets

 

Chris Kets is a filmmaker/editor/cine & photographer/writer from South Africa. Passionate about creating and developing new forms of media and storytelling for and by the youth of Africa and finding the magical elements in real life stories. Visualizing the rise of the new South Africa and being a facilitator of change through popular culture. Since 2010 Chris has been involved in Music Video, online short form documentaries and since 2015 has begun working in feature documentary fields with his work as Cinematographer and Editor on the award winning film “Not in my neighbourhood”. Having worked with DJ LAG from his first documentary on the Gqom scene in Durban for Boiler Room’s RAW SESSIONS to the award winning music video Ice Drop directed in 2015 to music videos for Diplo’s Major Lazer imprint Chris has been at the forefront of the Global Bass music culture worldwide in documenting and shooting music videos and short films globally.
